Being a dentist is something I have worked toward my entire life. I love the fact that I am a hometown girl and able to serve the people in my community. I try to form a special bond with each patient and treat them as one of my family members. When the patients come for their visit, it is like a big family reunion, and we just pick up where we left off!
Of course, I know I could never offer this personalized level of care without an amazing staff. My team is especially exceptional! We all work very well together and have created a very positive and healthy environment for ourselves and our patients. We go the “extra mile” to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for every patient.
Education and Continuing Education
I attended my hometown college, Augusta State University, and received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. I continued on to the Medical College of Georgia School of Dental Medicine in Augusta, Georgia, where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
During college and dental school, I pursued many research projects at the Medical College of Georgia and published several scholarly articles on xerostomia, malocclusion, and implantology. I received the Undergraduate Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Academic Achievements in the profession of dentistry by the Pierre Fauchard Academy, one of the leading dental education institutions in the world. I am committed to continuing education and evidence-based dentistry, and it shows in the state-of-the-art services I am able to provide.

Outside the Office
I am married to Dave Wheeler who is a Staff Sergeant for Columbia County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO). Dave is from Lincolnton, Georgia and is an avid hunter and cross-fitter. We have four dogs who we love! We have two dachshunds, Maddox and Rogue, a bulldog named Chip, and a retired CCSO tracking bloodhound named Stryker. My husband is an artist and does charcoal drawings of animals, many of which are displayed throughout the office for our patients to enjoy.
When I am not working, I spend time with my husband and beloved animals. We enjoy watching movies and are huge Steelers fans. I also enjoy reading, working out, and playing tennis. My husband and I are also members of Wesley United Methodist Church in Evans, Georgia.
